I previously fitted a new 91vxl chain to the 360 and it was dangerous to use in my opinion.

It really snagged in the cut and bucked around alot. Another Arbtalker was watching me use it up the tree and he was surprised at the struggle i was having.

I took it off and bought a different type of chain that the dealer said was more suited to a hobby/home owner saw and it was much easier to use.

Best mod i reckon would be to fit .43 or .50 gauge chain and a carving bar to suit.

just took the air filter off my new 360 tes and noticed this small penny sized washer loose in the bottom right hand corner of the air filter housing any ideas where it should be:confused1:

thanks carl

If your chainsaw was ever disassembled outside the factory, there is a big chance it is incorrectly installed circular washer #33. It has to be inserted into the rubber boot #31 and keep it in place. It also ensures better carburettor/boot sealing. Especially when the handle is moving on suspension in relation to engine.

The fact it's outside means that at certain point of time the carburettor was (or is) loosely contacting the boot (did the chainsaw ever fall? :)).

Could lead to airleaks/erratic engine behavior or lean seizure.

I have been taking my one out on a few big jobs lately but I have been taking a 201t with me as a backup.

I used it Saturday without the backup 201t and am feeling quite confident as having one as my only top handle .

I had a good time using it on this

cool thanks for that post, ill definitely have a good look at it. the saw is brand new but has been running a little odd so maybe this is the cause.

thanks again carl.

thanks piston skirt, you were dead right it was that boot washer, was a bit worried about messing with a new saw but i guess thats the downside of buying a saw off the net as appose to a local dealer, hopefully it will be fine.

thanks carl
