HAs any one on here ever altered the discharge chute on their chipper, I'm thinking of making a little change on our one.

Were your results worth the hassle or did you realise that the original design is the best??

Photos would be good.

Yep did our Tw many years ago and it worked a treat, have done all Tw since then I think I have had about 6 of them. You need to stand at the side of the truck when someone is chipping for many days and look for the fundamental flaw in the chute design and change yours to match the design of your chip body. If that makes any sense.

a temporary change .......on the tracked tw190 we used to turn the end piece (the bucket I think they call it ) upside down. when working next to retaining walls on the railway ...fires the chip up over the wall beautifully !!!

I've spent the last few weeks looking at the chips coming out of the spout, so I know exactly what you mean :001_rolleyes:

I modified/.made a new spout for a 190 purely to widen the spray area and to enable us to spray chip up onto banks . It didn't go down to well during a contractor safety assessment as it was not standard nor was it a manufacturers option - hence a slapped wrist

Pictures people, pictures!!!

I think the tw150 chute needs extending a little, also i need to put a hinge on mine to get it into the garage!!!

or take it off , we do every day for chippers to go into a smaller doorway in our unit
