Like I said... The hydraulic ram that lifts the tipper bed "over extends" all the weight of the bed is transferred past the point of no return and the bed won't return. Mechanical assistance from a tractor bucket or similar is needed to pull it back over so it will return. There is no possibility of the bed falling down.. Even if the hydraulics failed or ruptured.

The ram is 2 way acting, simply pull pull or push the lever in the other direction and it will pull it down, when it goes itself pop the lever back to the middle then back the way, then it will go down on its own weight.

Things can happen, going under an unpropped body is as big a no no as putting a pto on and off with the engine running imo.

Friendly advice, again nice clean looking Mog!

I tried the lever every which way to get the bed back down... The problem is the weight of the box itself... Top heavy..It won't return under its own power .....

Big Joe (pictured) knew the risks when he got up there... And lived to tell the tale!! (This time!!!)

I remember the body tipping over 'to far' on me a couple times, what I used to do is hold the lever in the down or return position and reverse the nearside wheels back on the woodchip pile and the angle of the Mog should be enough to through the body back over.

Maybe for the future, work out the position where the body will come back on its own and have a length of chain fixed between the underside of the body and the chassis to act as a stopper.

Rigger Bear.....I said this to our mechanic but he thought the chains could be dangerous .... Not sure quite what he meant tho .... He said risk of toppling the mog..... Not sure. I was just chuffed he did a good job of getting it ready.... Do you remember how rotten the cab was????? Our guy did a cracking job... We will get a new box bespoke made in time...££££ perhaps stick the chipper on the front.... Then crane/mewp on rear and timber trailer..... dream dream!!!!

Hey ti nice set up you could probably fir a cable to limit the stroke of the ram one of our mogs have the same problem but we have all our hydraulics on switches have a bit more control over when tipping

New guy I couldn't read your post earlier about levers, and it seems to have disappeared .

If it's not coming back under power then maybe it's in the wrong circuit.

If it won't come back down, then simply drive up over the pile of chip you have tipped and steer out it, that way it should come down, or just don't tip it over as much in the first place:)
