Carritools as a rule are not very durable IMO . Many guys have made there own improved version .

Broken two small caritools but my first and only large one is still fine

I have busted about 3 of the small ones. Never a large one apart from loosing a gate.

 

I have take mine off tho. Found some snap gate steel boating krabs at a sailing store. The are great and sit snug to the saddle when not in use. Slightly less profile than the carry too and rarely gets snagged. Unlike the carry tool IMO.
