Valtra and roof mount

Wilsons have been OK for me. They didn't have some break spares in stock so they took them off a new unit in the yard to keep me going. Was nice but did have to chase them to get them.

As for roof mounts they're flexable but not great for the bigger timber. Ideal if you winch to it and then process behind the tractor and use it to stack around it.

They do fall over but i've never met anybody who has done it. Like things tractor based unless you're really stupid you'll be scared and give up before the thing gets close to fallling over.

I would shop around and get a few quotes look at the price difference for tractors between Wilsons and private sellers.

I've started getting bits off MSA machine spares who couldn't be more helpful same filter packs as Wilsons and way cheaper and I didn't have to keep chasing for them to be sent out.

But Wilsons conversions do look solid

So looks like I might buy from wilson's then look else where for servicing/repairs. GM tree station in Manchester uses a mobile guy who is very good apparently, I've seen an article on him in the forestry journal might be worth looking into!

My tractor would be £30 k if it was in wilson's yard, but then you'd have a warranty.

I'm not sure how much the electric controls added, a couple of k at least, they are ace though, I wouldn't go back now, nor would I do without the reverse drive...

well I am sorry to report that my/ our experience has been wholly opposite to that. Maybe its because you live near enough to make a difference, and because we are at the far end of the country its okay to fob us off all the time:confused1:

I would tend to agree with you trimmer , I'm in South Wales and found jasp Wilson quite unhelpful toards my needs
