What settings do people use on the gopro? 1/10sec 1/30sec 1/60sec? I know it comes down to job length etc but just after a rough idea. is it really worth filming/ taking pictures on the highest quality?

 

Also I might be wrong but does YouTube lower the quality of your video when you upload it? So not nessasary to film in the highest quality?

 

Also trying to think of ways to set up the gopro, so far got on a limb in the tree I.e anchor point and a tripod on the ground? Anyone else got any other ways to set up?

Just watch some of Augustus hinckley and Bix vid on YouTube for some innovative camera. Ideas. Time laps I found every 10 gives a good show much more than this and it misses everything. As tree work is 80% getting ready 5% action. And 15% sorting out.
