Low vibe strimmer

On the hunt for a new strimmer/brush cutter with lower vibrations.

Use a Kawasaki th43 most of the time, which is a great tool that has never let me down but finding it's starting to get sore on the hands, especially the right (trigger) hand

Want a good machine to get many years of service out of

Open to any suggestions, even a Honda with a 4 stroke engine (have never used them before - what are they like?)

Seems to be mainly banks, rough areas of grass and bracken etc, very rare for me to use the metal blade on this machine (always 3mm square line) but it does need to have a bit of power

The TH43 is the ideal machine it's just I don't think I can take the vibes much longer!

Husky 525RXT seems to be the lowest vibe strimmer i have found at 1.8/1.9 m/s². Downside it's only 25cc.

The 555RXT clearing saw is 1.5/1.6 m/s² but that is a 55cc monster. This is also reflected in its monster price tag.

Depends on what you want it for really. STIHL ones maybe lower but i don't get on with their set so can only tell you these two in a search for a low vibe machine.

Have just found out that the top of the range Tanaka (TBC600) has vibration levels of 1.4-1.5 according to the book, that's 47cc, but about £600, ouch. :blushing:

yep , took a look at it ,they seem to have a pretty good antivibe system going, mine`s an old pm45, powerfull to, I use the 3mm square as well but the Honda`s a 4 stroke,it purrs in comparison, about £450 with a good harness, nae smell , less noise, easy, get a shot of one if you can.

also checked out the Eckman PBC04 4 stroke 31cc ,£200ish with all the kit but I don`t know anything about them. cheers
