Take a trip on the ferry to Devonport then South to Hobart, you'll not regret the journey. Many folk go to Oz and forget the jewel in the crown that is Tasmania! Not forgetting the trip along the Great Ocean Road from Adelaide to Melbourne....

or 11 mate yea will be good to say goodbye got plenty of time you going this weekend ??

Hope so mate, depends a little on work and ride down coinciding.

I won't go if you're not there, I'll need help with my tent after after 8 Stella's again!

Good advice from Codlasher there.

If we're talking non-tree related though, that should be a different thread, not all of it legal!

Anyone else have experience of working in oz

You're going straight from the UK in January? That'll be hot. Get acclimatized before you start work.

its 20 years since I worked there. It was brutal at times but I still enjoyed it. Modern equipment and techniques has made life much easier also. With that said, nobody wore chainsaw pants back then, just shorts. Couldn't imagine wearing chainsaw pants at 40 degrees. That must be miserable:thumbdown: Good luck mate.
