Moving to oz

Yes it's another thread about the same topic but I'm travelling over to oz in January and was just looking for some heads up and pointers ins and outs of general stuff looking to fly into adeliade possibly work there and then off to the Melbourne area onto Sydney and finishing off in Sydney this is a working holiday any tips or experience will be much appreciated

Take a trip on the ferry to Devonport then South to Hobart, you'll not regret the journey. Many folk go to Oz and forget the jewel in the crown that is Tasmania! Not forgetting the trip along the Great Ocean Road from Adelaide to Melbourne....

I won't go if you're not there, I'll need help with my tent after after 8 Stella's again!

You're going straight from the UK in January? That'll be hot. Get acclimatized before you start work.

 

its 20 years since I worked there. It was brutal at times but I still enjoyed it. Modern equipment and techniques has made life much easier also. With that said, nobody wore chainsaw pants back then, just shorts. Couldn't imagine wearing chainsaw pants at 40 degrees. That must be miserable:thumbdown: Good luck mate.

I worked in central Queensland last year through their winter and even then 40c was a regular occurrence on the thermometer!
