Surey a top handle through a chipper would knacker a chipper, the guide bar would do the most damage surely?!

I've got my mouth open reading this thread lol, never so much as lost a pruning saw through a chipper in ten years!! Well maybe a coke can or two ;)

Got any pics?!

I would imagine the crankshaft would do the most damage.

My old groundie's fed the wolf a multitude of items, from the usual rakes, brooms, shovels, too a 460 bar and chain, a pair of felcos (including strop and krab), numerous bits of re-bar, hanging basket brackets, cast iron inspection covers, jumpers, but the only thing that really upset her was one of those 360 degree rotating scaffold brackets....stopped her dead! smashed the knives to bits and destroyed 3 fins.

Ah I see.

On a slightly different note.

Why is it so difficult to pry one of those covers open, to access what lays beneath when you need to. Yet one corner can be just proud of the surface, so you half trip every time your foot passes by?
