I try to always be polite but some time its drives me mad when people just walk though your site!

Dave, this has been covered a few times in previous threads.

In my experience of jobs with fairly heavy public access (because as you know they can and do avoid signs, cones, barrier tape, machine-gun towers etc.), you can't beat a good groundie with diplomacy skills who is simply there to keep the dz safe for everyone.

I realise that this is rarely economically possible, but it's the truth.

Was working in Boscombe about a month ago, a middle aged smack head walked through footpath closed etc signs, I confronted him and told him to go back and take the correct footpath. The guy got very aggressive very quickly, pushed me out of the way, which I then got back in front of him and wouldn't let him pass. Another work colleuge walked over and grabbed him and dragged him round the side of the truck and pushed him away. Lots of words were said by all parties... The best thing was... As he walked (staggered) away on the road, he tripped over a small branch and fell ass over tit!! Cracked us all up and he was embarrassed to the Max!!

Always watch yourself with people like that. Last thing you want is a used needle stuck in you.

Block any route/path with a council approved notice and signs plus branches cut to really make access difficult and you can be sure that on every job you will find a schoolboy climbing though the barriers, an elderly person magically appearing under you as you chog off a massive lump of hairy arsed coni or a U.K plated Freelander that has followed it's SatNav around your fortress, up the verge and around the lamppost and is now trying to squeeze past the chipper and open mouthed groundy whilst the lady passenger waves a hand and covers her eyes in embarrassment.

It happens, you can't stop it, it is just one of those things.

Like elderly customers who try to sneak old fence posts and bags of garden rubbish into the pile of brash for chipping during lunch break...:001_rolleyes:

Might I suggest Claymores evenly spaced between cones. Make sure the material discharged from such devices are pleasant smelling like fish emulsion. Actually worked very well once upon a time on Halloween night here stateside!. All kidding aside people on either side of the pond are selfish and inconsiderate. Bad combo when your trying to earn a living.
