Hi all,

Sorry to bring the tread back to life but am looking like going down this route too with replacing my old transit with an Iveco 65 tipper and came across this thread when looking to insure the new truck.

Just called NFU to be told they weren't taking on new business in my area? WTF??

Then called Aviva and was told oh no you have to go through a broker, so I asked, ok do you have a number for one? No you have to find that yourself.

Seems as though no one is really interested in insuring a sole trader, big fleet yes, one tipper over 3500kgs, no thanks.

No wonder we all run round overloaded.

Anyone else had this or is it just me?

Arborisk are pretty good I've found.

Saved 300% on our old Mog.

Try calling lycetts insurance, I was quoted around £1400 any driver, no experience on a 14t tipper. Also had the same response from NFU, I have no time for them anymore at all
