is this a purple hazel???

For a few years Hull City Council used to give every new parent the choice of one of these or a mountain ash or juneberry. Until the budget cuts by the government.

 

They are about if you are looking for them. But not that common.

are they relativley common???

 

I have one in my garden and have lots of seedlings from it, they are all over the garden. Most purple, some green. I have recently seen a seedling growing up a few hundred meters away in a verge. Squirrels nicking the nuts..:001_smile:
