Does anyone know where you can hire/buy small mulchers as supposed to large tractor mounted ones as i have an undulating area of ground that is covered in ivy etc and rather than try strimming and raking would like to mulch it into the top few inches of soil?

I'm based in farnborough, hampshire but the job is near havant.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Couldn't you use a tractor flail?

Coppard Hire do an RC 100 with a seppi or foresatl flail but it costs over £500/day. Practicality Brown had a similar one 6 years ago.

you could ask jim e who posts on hear local to you do not know if he has anything like this. you say its ivy and you want to mulch it into ground. are you not going to make it just grow more than it already is.

would it not be better to spray with glyphoshate and adjtent that sticks to the leaves let it kill it and then mulch it up. if you do spray needs doing when plant is dorment eg october march.
