Stock Fence Clamp recommendations?

I have a fair few but not thousands of metres of stock fencing to do for a gamekeeper, anyone recommend a set of clamps for someone on a budget and not in a rush?

 

Have used the red ones with the ally clamps but they are a fair investment and can't remember the make

hayes are the ones with the ally clamps, good but pricey

Drivall were the ones I used , just add them into your price anyway . :-)

Go to McVeigh Parker and in the search box type in KSBC. If you don't need all the kit parts you can buy them seperately.

I use the blue drivall ones. About £90 quid each. Used them almost solidly for 4 years and haven't worn or anything. The Haynes ones seem quite big at 1.2m for standard stock fence- they may do a smaller one...

The set that bob has linked to seems a good deal and are the smaller 1meter clamps. Its best to have two clamps really to pull together but if you haven't got much to do 1 will do the job.

Had my clamps made by local fabricator, gave them 7 years flat out work and then 5 part time. No problems at all but they are a bit heavier than the off the shelf types I've picked up.

I've got Hayes chains on them, great chains but the springs are starting to get a bit slack now.

What make is that kit Bob? The clamps look like haynes but price seems too cheap for genuine Hayes ones including the 2 strainers?

Chap near me bought 1 of Ebay can strain 1.2m high netting, painted Yellow with big silver wedges.
