Yes mate. Climbed for around 16 years in Surrey, moved up here and ended up a "Hollywood docker" at Felixstowe for a decade. Mostly gardening and hedge work now, but still break out the 020 and climbing gear when the work is there. 44 now, not as bendy as I was!

Hello to all on Arbtalk. Thought I better make myself known as I have been following the forum for some time. Just completed my ND in Arboriculture and Forestry and passed my cs 38-39 last friday!! Its a career change for me at 37 and I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead. Great forum has been really helpful.

Ay up tree botherer types. I'm a newbie to the site. You all seem very happy souls which is nice. I think the 'tarts corner' is an interesting idea, but can you come up with another name... don't fancy classifying myself in that one being a girlie, might give the wrong impression!

Not that I have any gadgets to confuse my groundsman, he's my fiance, I wouldn't want to give him a headache!

;)

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
