tipper conversion

i done a hi-lux once mate fabricated it from scratch though,

i mounted the hinge directly to the hi- lux chassis and built a bed that tipped from that point,i think the transit bed would sit too high up on the ranger chassis.

what do you rekon the chip box weight was.i took the tub of the ranger and there not light must be at least 150kg maybe more.an alloy chip box must be lighter than the metal tub.that was the biggest worry making one then realising the weight capicty has been reduced

 

it was lighter than the tub and it held about 3 cube and even full it never "looked" overloaded but the actual weight is anyones guess.
