Does anyone use easystart or is it still frowned upon

I was shown a picture of a piston ring under a microscope before and after easy start. It was on a cummins kta course in the 90's. You could see the top edge eroded causing loss of compression giving the impression of addiction to not starting as mentioned earlier. I would imagine an old engine with low compression will suffer less.

Winter starts on 70's tractor - tiny squirt of Bradex = :thumbup:

 

bradex gets my vote too yellow tin black writing on it i think :thumbup1:

 

i was also told anything like lynx deodorant & hairspray will work too

 

its just a pity that something designed to start engines does actually cause damage or addiction if over used to excess etc
