Quick one for all the fencing guys on here quoting a job at the minute. To fence round new trees in a big estates parkland. A complete square round each tree 12 ft each side 5x3 posts stock net on bottom a rail just above and a single strand of barb on top. Just wondered what you guys would charge for one of these there is

 

8 x 5x3 6ft pointed posts

4 x 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 rails

15m of high tensile stock net

15 m of high tensile barb

 

In each one. I have a priced it just now just wondered what other people thought

Good access for a knocker to get in decent knocking maybe a bit hard as its been grass a long while but soil all way to depth no chalk or flint 51 in total to be done

Is there no way of doing 1 and checking how long it takes, youd have a good idea of what to charge depending on how much you need for labour /fuel.

Figures off top of the head. Not bought any materials for about 7 months. Vat to be added if you charge it as well.

 

My rough sums are

 

8 posts @ £4 £16

4 rails @ £2.80 £11.20

net @ £1 p mtr £16 inc overlap

Barb @ £0.20 mtr £ 4.50

 

Labour £2.70 a mtr

 

 

 

 

Total £88.20 per unit
