What air-rifle would you buy for a grand?

ive got a logun profesional mk 2 and its the best air gun ive used, it is discontinued now but there is old stock hanging around in some shops. it was discontinued because they were costing too much to make. top quality gun.

Thanks for the info. I've found a rifle Advertised as a Mk2, but it didn’t mention professional. Did they make a Mk2 ‘none professional’ model? I’m also in a dilemma as to what to get….177 or .22 (I see myself target shooting more than killing fluffy bunnies) Cheers for your help..

i've got a silenced .410 shotgun for rabbit control and a daystate mk3 air rifle for lamping. think a .17 hmr is top of the list for my next gun, just need to get my FAC back. the daystates are great air rifles.

Personally I like the 177.

It shoots a bit flatter and in my opinion head shots are the onlyreliable killer on Rabbits with a typical air rifle.So using a larger caliber with a more curved trajectory dosn't make alot of sence.

The problem with air rifles is that they are so bloody expensive. Ten shot multichoke shotgun £90 s/hand, .22 rimfire £175 new.

only ever used .177's for pest control, only .22 i have is an airpistol for dispatching things in cage traps,

my logun mk 2 is a 177 and ive got a super ten 22 and the 177 is the best cal imo, it realy depends on the pellet as every gun loves a certain pellet!! i use jsb's in my logun

I’ve been keeping my eye on a new Logun Mk2 for some time now and the dealer has just dropped the price. Only trouble is its .22 rather than .177 which I used to own. There is a .177 over in Bath but it’s an extra £150!

I prefer .177 for both targets & pest control, if its gona b more for ft than pest control then i'd advise looking for a second hand ft rig preferably a walther lg300 dominator(dommi) they are A1! pop in 2 ur local ft club & gun smiths and ask around ur better off spendin £1k on a second hand gun which has probably cost its owner £2k or so inluding scope, mounts, match trigger etc.
