My first time out in 3 years now been invited to go france fishing but get really hammered with mozys and takes months for the sores to heal up etc please help thanks

Skin so soft never worked for me in Florida, got eaten to death. Better off with 50+ Deet, available from Crickhowell Adventure 01873 810020. Shameless plug!

Deet or start taking Thiamine tablets, they are full of all the B vitamins that mozzies don't like. You have to buy them from a chemist but they're not expensive. I end up with blood poisoning every couple of years due to mozzie bites and have found prevention is better than a cure!

I think it must be different for some people, I fish in Florida for 2 weeks every year and it works for me. I still get a few bites, but my boy gets loads, I put it down to him not putting it on proper.
