Makita DCS9010 - what oregon mount?

i just noticed this on the parts list for the 9010 there are different bar studs and bar plate for the saws destined for usa and canada they wanted the bar studs / mounts for husqvarna d009

 

hopefully might help someone :thumbup::thumbup:

 

 

Thanks shavey only just seen this - any idead where these could be sourced/cost?

Why use a lathe to machine the bar studs. If you have a drill and a grinder what to do is put your drill in a vice to hold it and put the stud in the chuck. turn the drill in the opposite direction of your grinder at as high a speed as possible and grind the required amount off of the collar on the stud. it will not give the finish of a lathe but its only a power saw bar mount. Should save a bit of time

Thanks Looks like I will be swapping the studs when I need a new bar then, happy with the saw though pulled well buried to the dogs :thumbup1:

 

They do pull well keep it buried in the big timber :thumbup::thumbup:

 

What other saws are you running ?
