Cheers for the advice lads, I am in Birmingham, I have looked at the forst but can't get any one to give me a price, does anyone know how much they are?to be fair I am a little unsure about that on board computer thing they got, is that going to be a nightmare in a few years breaking down and not working, what I was wondering is for the extra 4000 is the 190 a much better chipper, or is the green mech just as good just a little less power?

The forst is 15k plus vat. Gm also have the computer system on board, I never had any problems. Most modern gear is computer driven.

Just to throw a spanner in the works it will be well worth you having a look at the new Timberwolf TW240 turntable machine, 6" x 9" infeed with double edged blades, 750kg with turntable, massive rotor bearings, 34hp Kubota diesel engine, powerful in-feed rollers, an all round great machine.

I am in the midlands with the demo machine on Monday, PM me if you want a look.

Yer I did look at the turn table one, and the quad Chip gm, I just thought it might be worth the extra for a bigger machine like the 190, but might look at getting a demo off the forst now as it seems to have good feed back, out of interest does anyone have the 190 turbo and what's it like? I have a demo of that soon! And I will get a demo off a few others I think, just the 150are light and all round good machine

How is your Forst doing ? I am currently looking at jumping ship from TW due to there complete lack of this solving this prolific bearing problem .

Great machine, well built a doddle to service v aggressive infeed and no dealers, direct to supplier.

The tw190 is a 7.5 inch machine - the equivalent GM (on paper) is a 1928. I'm not sure of the price comparisons but you should definitely try one if you are considering a machine over 750kg. The GM150 in reality has a similar sized throat to the TW190, but you notice the difference in the bigger (ie 7.5inch class) machines in the size of the feed hoppers - you can get a lot more brash to the rollers much more easily with a bigger machine.

Different league, better built although not 750kg, so easy to service and out chips the qc hands down. Much less shedding with the forst I have no regrets.
