Tree Shears, we have one

Just bought a tree shear from Exac-one, wasnt sure what to expect but it's working well, in this instance it's a lot quicker than using a chainsaw.

Can it hold what it cuts (ie if you sever a tree do you have any control over where it goes?). Not all the pics have downloaded on this computer so apologies if the answer is in the photos!

10" is about it's limit but really what fits in the jaws it will cut

They are £7,500 + VAT and that includes the bracket to fit whatever your machine might be.

Today we have been doing hawthorn with the tree shear and mulcher, all untouched by human hands.

Andrew at Excac-one really has got these shears sorted now with the Kinshoffer rotator on them.

That's a great setup there.

 

I've hopefully got the Intermercato Tiger Cut coming later this week, and this should be the first with the 10" knife in?

 

I have opted for the Tiger Cut as it does grip what it's cutting, plus it's lighter to go under the Engcon Tiltrotator, but I won't hesitate to switch to the Exac-one unit if it doesn't perform as well.

 

Shears really have taken off this year, and I know they've been selling in some volumes?
