hi mate, just a couple of pointers, chain brake!!. if your hand is coming off, use it especially if its not the throttle hand. two hands on the saw at all times and when you have wedges in, aluminium or not i like to keep my right hand at the top of the handle so if i get kick back i can stop the saw hitting them and you are in a better position to work and escape if you have to. and your saws dont seem to be running too well. maybe its an orange thing:001_smile:

cheers for the pointers i no the back cut on the final section was where i done alot of that and its no excuse but it was a very arkward height for felling with the big bar on big saw couldnt reli do it that well but cheers im still young and learning so thanks for pointers

watch out when doing felling cuts on lime, i would always do it at a size i could just push over, and do break cuts. if the hinge isnt right and holds on to much it could rip and swing the lump backwards and off to the side and land behind you, in that case the building. and you will have to dodge out its way, next time just fell it mate:001_cool:oh to be so old and wise:001_tongue:

we left the timber on site in logged up slabs for the customer
