Lifting is likely to be your problem. We have a 55 hp compact and the Krpan 18 tonne splitter and it's right at the limit of our tractors lift. If we had the Posch equivalent don't think we would have got it off the ground. If the weight was close in it would be OK but the weight on these splitters is a fair distance out from the hitch attachment points. Suspect when it comes to running it you would be OK most of the time. I run ours with the PTO on eco and it only stalls on the gnarliest of lumps.

Think I'm going to discount the PTO option and go for one with a petrol engine - either the 13T road tow, or, as I've just noticed the also do 13T free standing ones with either a 7.5 hp Briggs or a 13 hp Briggs :confused1:.

 

My tractor will only lift 525 KGS at the link ends or 308 KGS 2 feet behind, and the Posch 13T PTO is 338 KGS, so too much.

 

Still, that leaves the tractor free to run a saw bench :biggrin:
