Do it Steve. You won't regret it.

I have to agree, get them refreshed & ported, Steve you will be pleasantly surprised ( not shocked) at how these saws respond in real work, much more responsive to your finger, & more guts in larger cuts.:001_smile:

The chain was not tight, that bar and chain came off another 200 so that both were on a 12" bar for a fair comparison. The 201 normally wears a 14".

I have 2 x 200t's that i've been threatening to send to spud for over 2 years now

I did offer, I am not going force you:lol:

My mate always says "you can take your horse to water but you can't make it wash your car"

May have to catch you at the Capel Manor bash this year!

I have also added a little more since doing yours Geoff - makes for a tad more compression and a bit more torque - always progressing:thumbup:

Chains too tight and it's not a 540xp ... I had a carving bar on the old 200 and have just swapped it back for a 12" and put it against the 540 in the log stack last night ...the 540 destroys the 200t

The chains not tight, mine does that sluggish pickup if cold, or if not used for a few minutes requires 4-6 blips of the throttle to get it going, once hot its ok. unfortunatly the waiting for pickup has made me close to throwing the worst pro saw stihll have ever made out the tree.

thankfully i have my first 020 rebuilt by spud, 2 spares, and had purchased one of the last 200's when in mainstream circulation/stock
