The thing that changed me from gm is they insist on you going through your "dealer" and most of em are near useless! Forst have no dealers and send everything from source.

Im a GM man , not had TW before had jenson and Entec before

the one thing i keep reading about TW is the wheel bearings are not over enginered?

The forst out strips the gm on performance its v aggressive on the infeed.

Thanks for advice guys. I'm calling forst first tomorrow , as yes it's a lot of cash but in reality my old kit and cash to spend before tax year means machine only stands me half . Also looking at 2nd hand Jensen

Hi guys, I'm looking at a new chipper, been in touch with redwood and they are trying to talk us towards a forst 6" tracked roughly 23'000+ vat, we were looking at the 7.5" Jensen to start with but it's 5000 dearer than the forst so just wondering if it's worth the extra 5000. Any views on this would be helpful as I've never heard of or used a forst. Jensen I know and like a lot but 5000 is a lot extra. Regards Neil.

I had the Forst out on demo, brilliant machine cross between Jensen & Schliesing. I would've have bought the Forst but I felt the hopper feed is too narrow so ended up buying Jensen A540 and very happy with it, more expensive but then it's an 8" chipper rather than 6".

 

Forst are supposed to be bringing out an 8" version which I will seriously look at & possibly P/E my Jensen.

 

As you probably know Forst comes from the same UK dealer as Jensen - Redwood Global.

 

So far we've had excellent sales and service with parts (filters) sent out v quickly. My only issue was 12v lights blew cos our Isuzu is 24v but they sent new bulb set, problem sorted although i did wonder if the wiring is being cooked!
