All my local dealers couldnt get close to the well known arb suppliers (as advertised on this forum). Shame not to use local business but the price difference is just too much.

Having said that I do use a couple of local dealers regularly for other things/ red diesel, tool hire, clothing etc.

There's no shame in trying to keep the wolf from the door.

Have a word with your local dealer.

I've got one local and one localish dealer and they both beat the online giants everytime on new saws, not so good on consumables though.

One even confirmed the other day that they understand people buying online, just as long as when that saw requires warranty work the customer understands that the dealer will be extremely busy and there may be some delay

Hi

Ive done both, you need to work out whats best long term, you could always speak to your local dealer & try and get them to improve their price.

Incidentally, I called in at FR Jones not so long ago & their service / repair operation looks very good.

Called into a dealer today to order a bar. Ok, so I didn't buy the saw from them but they're a Stihl dealer and the saw is a Husky. But on their website, it clearly states they service both Stihl & Husqvarna. So I thought ordering in a bar would be no problem. How wrong could I be? "No. You'll have to try somewhere else. It just isn't worth it for us to order Husqvarna parts." One wonders how they could hope to service a Husky, if they're not willing to order in Husky parts.
