Climbing Spikes

Was going to order these Distel_Aluminium_Spurs_Classic - Honey Brothers Ltd from HB but have seen these Treehog Lightweight Alloy Climbers - Honey Brothers Ltd

 

Treehogs discounted from a similar price range that the Distel is in saving £60, I wouldn't compromise price over quality - but wonder what the user verdict is?

the distels will be more comfortable although i havnt tried the treehogs they are a fairly traditional design similar to my last pair which hurt my legs after an hour.

A pretty good deal for £150 and they come with two different size gaffs!

I had some Honey Bros own brand spikes many years ago which where pretty dire and had a round gaff but these look very usable.

Comfort is key & I have used a set of Distels borrowed from a work mate, found them to be bang on. Just thought I'd fish for a Treehog user.....

I was wearing my distels for 3 hours few days ago first time in them very comfortable. Buying anything else will disappoint.

When I went to replace my spikes I looked at the steel version of those ally hogs and if I'm honest they were poor quality like weird gaffs ( like pencil points) and plastic straps. They look identical to the steel ones. I'd avoid mate

Highly recommend the distel spikes been climbing for 5 years and was chucked what ever old spikes we had at work and hated them n couldn't understand how people like wearing them but brought my own set of distel aluminum spikes and LOVE them they are some nice to wear n look forward to wearing them worth every penny!

The Distel spikes are a lot better quality and design then the TreeHog. But they are about £50 more expensive. We sell far more of the Distel than any other make of spikes.

 

Value for money the Distel is the best spikes out there.

At the end of the day if you're standing on spikes 100ft up £50 doesn't matter
