066 for £350 Something Fishy

Been offered this by a friend of a friend, but not sure if it 'too' cheap!

It looks in a great condition but not sure

About right I'd say, I was thing of selling my 395xp its only 4 years old and I'd doubt I'd get more than £450

I had a look around and i could get something newer for not much more so ill have to have a think. 395 xp you say? hmm

Age is one thing, condition is another. Someone who never services anything and runs it hard will have a wreck, someone who mostly does gardening and lovingly polishes their kit will have something barely run in and perfect. Going to see it will let you see both how worn it is and how he treats his kit to work out where on the scale it lies.

 

Reasonable price IMO if it's sound but used.

Thats a good point Alec I went to look at a van a while back, pulled up i the guys yard and all the vehicles were filthy and 'well used,' the van was cheap and wouldnt of got me home, so ill defo go look at it

Get the serial number and run a check. Even if someone buys a saw in good faith, if it has been stolen, it'll be confiscated if taken for a service and the person may have a visit from the police.
