Mike, the size is 12x32x7 if you need to get one from a seal supplier.

Edit:if the seal has gone then maybe the bearring is in poor shape as well?

Thanks all. Have learnt something about seal dimensions - does this mean that any seal with those dimensions (and several ebay sellers do them) will function properly?

 

What's the business about double lip? metal bodies? r23 r21 etc

 

made me more inclined to open up an ancient partner saw too - if i can read the dimensions on the seal i can replace it? right?

Bump. Anybody know if you Can just buy a seal of the correct dimensions and it will work? cheers. Because generic seal and bearing suppliers seem much cheaper.

Yep, you can buy a lip seal the same dimensions and it will work.
