Filter needs

Hello there im a first timer and not very fast on the keyboard, I have a TW150 and need to change the fuel filter is there a non branded filter that will fit? ie something off a ford cortina or fhantom jet? The genuine parts seem to be costing a little more than they need to be so any saving has to be a good thing. Any advice will be greatly recieved thanks

Try a motor factors. Take the old filter with you and they will match it up with a non genuine one.

 

Down my way we have part co, or east kent components.

Thanks for that I'm English but live in Ireland so the online thing is a option but I kinda need a filter today and there not many places where I live to get one so I was hoping to just get a filter that would be comparable off the shelf.

There are many brands of filter and cross compatibility is almost universal, try and find a commercial vehicle factor, they tend to be cheaper than a car spares outlet.

for plant i try to use fleet guard filters they are good quality and oe on some manufacturers and you don't get robbed when you buy them

Try us for filters for all makes, we buy bulk & keep hundreds, a lot of them are Fleetguard. We have a cross reference programme to check, if we are not competitive your no worse off.

Any motor factors will sort you out, it'll only be a fiver or so.

 

For example, a Peugeot 106 diesel (TUD5 engine) oil filter is an excellent fit for many small three and two cylinders such as Kubota and Mitsubishi.

Thanks for all the advice and I can announce that not only do I have a replacement filter but the plant hire fitter I was asking gave it to me!! So nice to be nice eh. There are some genuine great people who will help you out if ur stuck. But then I had to pay €82 for 20 litres of engine oil. It's expensive to live in Ireland
