I know Jon! Think its more to go wrong to be honest! Just been told my 024 is beyond repair looking at a 241 now, cheers mate!

I generally find the e-carbs great, tune themselves and generally hassle free, but I have often worked on saws running so rich that the muffler is usually blocked in 6 months, so I do have a bit of bias

As I saw that you would like to buy 241, I just can say that I have got this saw for a little more then 1 year and it works perfect. It starts almost immediately even when is freezing and without any probs all the time..

I've got mainly old carb saws but also a 241. Initially I was sceptical but it seems to run very well and has a huge amount of grunt for it's cc's. So I'm a reluctant convert.

Love it on my FS460's, they've never missed a beat. Would happily buy an Mtronic saw.

My 241's good too except for occasionally cutting out when full throttle is released. Restarts immediately though.
