Spuds Porting and Tuning Thread

The software cannot alter the ignition limiter, the limiter is within the ignition unit itself, it is set at 14055 strange number but hat it is should be.

 

I guessed it would be and don't reckon an unlimited coil will be available any time soon!:thumbdown:

 

In theory though, it is unlikely the saw will pull much more than 12,000rpm in larger cuts so the unlimited coil will give you nothing!

Looks like we have a 560XP in for porting plus to add a bit of spice, it will be running a pop up piston and some radical compression:thumbup:

 

This saw is a bitsa so it is pretty much anything goes on it. It will be an interesting project!

 

Interesting :thumbup: do you have a picture of a previous piston that's been machined by chance?:001_huh:

I'm guessing it's an aftermarket piston being fitted? Or have you turned the base down?
