Well, I fitted the hyway kit to my 357 today, didn't fit without a base gasket :( why does this keep happening?! So went to the mechanic next door to see if he had gasket paper, found a lathe

This weekend I have been porting a 346XPG, they respond well to the work and in the pics below, you can see a widenend exhaust port, blended in to the muffler.

The inlet port has been widenend and smoothed, the transfers shaped to the back of the cylinder and you can see the original slightly....modified:001_rolleyes:hole and my much widened outlet.

There really isn't any need to make a much louder front outlet as this allows the saw to breath and have a not too loud exhaust note. The saw now picks up real quick, very noticeable and cuts with a real urgency. COmpression is up from 155psi to 175psi.

Looking forward to mine getting done now:001_tt2:

Miner set back as I'm a bit under the weather

Sorry Josh, missed your post - yup, that it is, hope it meets your approval:thumbup: It spools up pretty quick now and has a decent amount of speed in the cut and that was with a 17" bar in hard Elm!

Looking good mate, can't wait to find out what the revs are maxing at,

It will be around 13600 RPM as that is what the blue coil is limited to (I think that is what you have) but you will never hold that in the cut so it will not effect cut speed.

The unlimited coil makes tach tuning easier but doesn't make the saw faster or more powerful!

In fact, the blue coil has a more aggressive timing advance.

Sounds good,

How do you think it will fair up in a race with standard 550/560?
