Guten tag.

I have recently bought a 52 plate isuzu tf pick up.

She needs a new set of tyres. Currently she is running 205/80/16 on a 7j rim.

Can i go any wider on the original rim?? Its got one decent tyre on it (in terms of tread depth) -a bridgestone dueler that looks like an ice skate!

I have looked at tyres in the original size and they are fairly cheap.. £80ish for khumo kl71's.. this could definatly sway my decision as the goats dont like any let up in funds!!

but was hoping for something wider to help with offroading abilities

You use ame size as Land rover 90,Range rover and discovery 1, so lot of options. Easy swap for same rolling radius is the 235/70/16 very common and an inch wider. but not any taller.

As above if its purely off road but the extra ride comfort of these wider softer at/mud terrain tyres is a must have. Also the wider tyres spread their load better if you have to drive over a lawn so its all trade off.

Yeah I have had similar thoughts- skinny tyres cut through the crap. But wider tyres wont tear up a field.

I do a mix of work, farm, woodland and roadside.

Had the khumos before but they where noisey on the road.
