We'll yesterday "was" a good day. Spent the day welding and making up the box and bits for the hillux tipper conversion I got in, just waiting for the bed to turn up.

But last night I crashed badly. The usual being sick now but it's started to show sign of blood, so back off to docs today, had just enough energy to do a few posts.

So today I've been "told" (very bossy my other half) that I'm to stay at home today.

That's all well and good but I'm now worrying how long I can still carry on as let's face it all ok saying to rest and recover but the business will not last for very long without doing things. It's already starting to suffer a bit.

Whats the next stage then Richard?

I've got a couple of appointments. One is with a dietician, one with my doctor, then a specialist. Then it will be decided what treatment they want to start.

Not much info from the letter, only appointment dates, but now I know it can be sorted.

Seeing the first doctor Thursday.

I have looked on the cancer research website for the first time, and it lists all the treatments, chemo, radio, surgery.

Also didn't know how rare stomach cancer is, especially in my age group.

So I guess it's time to let my family know what's going on.

It's going to be a killer for my mum, she has miloma, my auntie has 18 months left as her lung cancer op failed.

Just really piles it on, and I was thinking this year had to be better than last year.

Sat down with the other earlier and we read the letter together. So had my moment with her. Now I'm just staring into space a bit. So thought I would come on here and harass spud about husky saws.

Just thought I might update those that are interested....

Had a few phone calls in the past week or so from people so thank you, it was nice. Even if I did have to cut one short as I was about to lose my stomach contents. Sorry.

Been on tablets for a while now. Seem to be helping a little bit. Doctors are a little bit concerned as I have also had a cough for a short while but they think it's nothing much.

Had a specialist other day. Laid out a huge and IMO very hard to follow diet routine. Hard as they want so much fresh fruit and veg that it doesn't leave me much else to eat. And I don't want to eat at all really. I'm only managing one meal a day anyway. Can't eat breakfast as I then find out what morning sickness is like for pregnant women...FYI not very nice...

They are looking for surgery options and complete removal, only problem is the location of it is right at the entrance to the stomach. And could really screw up for the future.

But for now I'm still working and trying to keep going. Still get a good days work in when needed but relax for a few days after. The workshop is a great help as I then have no rush and if I need to can just stop for a bit.

Being doing the machine driving as it's not as physical as hand cutting and find the days are easier.

I just end up paying for a long stretch of hard work and have to have a break. Also feeling very very tired in the evenings and find myself dropping off a bit early in front of the telly.
