Two very split/mixed views there! From reading it, I would say that the northern farmer link is based on an individual/a mixture of people who actually use it. Rather than the first link is all bad stuff, yet they are probably only motor experts who are told to say bad stuff because its cheap!

I've watched several videos and read different forums with people whom see to like it.

I'll do a bit more research and see what happens! Giving the beast a test drive will obviously make my mind up, rather than reading all the forums/reports on the net. Although they are helpful :)

Well I can safely say I have had the back loaded with wood and had a chipper (750kg) in the back , and it has towed and driven fine.... A lot

Of people also think it's crap as it's 'Chinese' .... You have to remember people also laughed at toyota and the jap trucks back when they first appeared on the market ...

Yes, that is very true. It's only because it's new to the UK. When I was in NYC in December I remember seeing a lot of these around, and Dodges.

Once they bring more and more trucks & other models of cars into the UK they will be more recognised and they'll be the new leading brand!

I must also say that the auto car review is a load of rubbish, it drives like a car, of course it's not as comfortable as Mercedes ,But it is after all a pick up truck , not a pricey car.... It's just as comfy As Any other 4x4, and I havnt found it any more sluggish than a ranger or hilux.... It's smaller engine also seems to do 34-37mpg with ease .... I am happy with mine and recommend getting one..

That's what I mean from the farmers review which Johnny Walker posted, it seems like it has been posted by a user rather than someone like Autotrader... I would much rather listen to you and other users, at least I know your saying your honest opinion on it, and your not forcing me to buy it! (Like many car dealers would).

Hi all,

I am looking into upgrading to a Volkswagen Amorak, or maybe something different.

At the moment I've got a Mazda B2500, on a 2001 plate.

My choices are either:

> Volkswagen Amorak

> Ford Ranger

> Toyota Hilux

> Mitsibushi L200

I like the look of Nissan Navaras but from what I've been told and from what I've read they are too unreliable, and are costly to repair.

I would like your opinions on which one is best for all round driving - including on and off road, town and motorway driving, mpg, towing, reliability, prices, etc etc.

Many thanks for reading this and I look forward to hearing from you all.

Cheers and Happy New Year!

I can vouch for the Ranger,Hilux and mitzi because we run them and by and large they are all good with the Mitzy being the most car like, there is VW

Amorak that belongs to one of the horsey brigade in the yard and I was having a really good look at it. Its very plasticky for one thing and the steel panels are painfully thin, as nice as it looks I dont think it would last long in the hands of our lot.
