What brand or model of portable bandsaw have I missed?

How satisfying would that be? Make your own mill to mill timber for yourself.

He's continuing that great tradition of a bloke in a shed tinkering and adjusting things until it works like he wants, fair play to him.

Was (very idly, admittedly) pondering the wisdom of buying Cookssaw 30" band wheel set, an falling to with the buzz-box welder and a wheen o girders.

T0 construct a bandsawmill in-situ.

Running on railway track, set on concrete sleepers for added stability.

Realistically would also require to price in a large 3ph genny and a 25kva 3ph motor to drive the headworks.

Though a tractor PTO genny would suffice.

A few I have found over here. Some beasts available for pretty good money.....

Speed ​​is controlled via a computer.

Plenty more out here, every village has couple of sawmills. Everyone produces their own timber and has their own piece of woodland. Loads of big old Vertical bandsaw mills to.
