Thanks rob. Looking for a 24"

How hard is it to swap the noses over?

It's not too bad - the method I use is a little crude. Use the chain punch to remove the rivets then change nose and insert new rivets.

Then use the chain punch to burr them over finally a light grind or very small hammer to flatten them.

If you think that'll be too much of a pain let me know...

Hi rob I'm also very intrested in a bar for a makita 1090 I've put th info in on the link you added. In your opinion will the saw run a 36" bar or would you say that's a little big? Thanks

Should run it ok but would be at the max - is this for a 9010? It seems like the flange at the bottom of the mounting bolts stops the large Husky bars fitting - these are all oregon D009 mounts...

Does anyone know if you can buy the 8mm mounting studs easily and if so where from?

Just got the Sugihara 13" light pro bar for my 550XP!

It's a thing of beauty and a joy to behold

My problem now is that I'm currently clearing headlands and firebreaks and some of the cutting is more akin to rotavating, so I'll be leaving the old Husky bar on it for the moment!

Rob,

Is there any interest in .325 .050 in light type for 346/550 in 15" and 18" to run the 95VPX chain? Is there even a Sugi mould for them? Or am i resigned to Oregon bars or going back to .058 for the next reel?

Regards,

Steve.

Hi Steve - yep I'm going to get some 15",18" and 20" in .325 .050 to run 95VPX - these will be in the laminated bars only - but again the order is separate to the one being processed so around 4 months wait I'm afraid...
