Wonder if anyone can offer advice on how to replace a broken on/off switch on a 372xpg, saw is couple years old most.

how does the switch fit, do i need special tool etc? Need to order new bit off somewhere and get saw fixed asap. local dealer shut.

Cheers

Most of these switches have fascia type retainers - these are two sprung plastic lugs either side of the switch that constrict when pushed in to the apperture and spring open once through the hole thus retaining the switch.

You normally get them out by pushing in one of the lugs and prising the same side of the switch out of its hole - pushing on the back of the switch normally does it.

Hoping dealer is around tommorow or its order off eBay and be at mercy of post, least its broken in on position. Good to know how switches locate so I don't kill new one. First ever broken switch for me.

What you have to wait for it to run out of fuel, or stall it
