Used my Petzl Sequoia for the first time today.

Awkward takedown of horrible multi-stemmed 60' crack willow with everything lowered.

Was a bit disappointed that I didn't notice my new harness at all, climbing from 8.45 - 4.30 with a few tea breaks.

Then it dawned on me - I hadn't noticed it like you don't notice the ref in a good match - because it was brilliant!

Light, comfy, quick to slip on and off, loads of bling loops and the leg loops and belt stayed put all day, unlike my ButterflyII which self-adjusted to the 25 stone climber position after a few minutes of every use.

I can't rate it highly enough.

This is just out of curiosity.

I've been using a Treemotion for about a year, and it's great, however I need a new harness now and just wondered which was the most popular and why you like them?

Thinking about picking up a new harness at the arb fair myself this year, but the choice is huge nowadays, gone are the days when you had the choice of 3 belts, Willans, Merrist wood harness and the good old GP parachutes harness.

I've allways used SKY Belts .....on my 4th now but I fancy something alittle diferrent myself, I too like the look of the Treemotion.

Can't you take it with you Mark and save a few squids?? Maybe buy the whole kit ropes, biners, etc etc off M.J.

I got a sequoia a few weeks ago and love it. It feels so much more like a rock climbing harness than the cumbersome tree harness I used to have. Leg loops stay where you put them and don't slip down your thighs, waist belt doesn't slip around your waist when leaning out to one side and the side D's are always 'just there'.

I've not got much experience of different models but the sequoia is definately a winner for me. If anyone in the Huddersfield area wants a play in it then just let me know, I will take it to the next Dean's wood meet.

It's a nice thought, but you know MJ. I'd end up paying him more than they want for new kit!

Besides, I like trying new stuff and fancy a change. I really like the Treemotion, but it's very pricey and when it's hot you sweat like bishop in a brothel. Also, hanging a saw from it is a nightmare. It hangs like a rude-boys jeans with any weight on the back. Other than those two little moans, very nice though.

No it hasn't worn out at all. In fact I climb every day in it and it's still in really good nic. I'm going self employed though, and it belongs to the company I work for.

I'm trying to decide if I want another one, or if I'm going to try something different?
