My Trango Cinch is approximately 3 yrs old and has started to slip really badly . I took it off my harness and proceeded to give it a good clean . Suprise suprise after that it is still not grabbing the rope properly ? Anyone else had problems like this ? I just checked on some climbing forums and they have had a number of failures due to cam wear on the Cinch . Although most of us in the tree world only use the Cinch on a work positioning strop . Thinking of retiring the Cinch and buying some other mechanical prussic .
