Got one from the dealer earlier with 15" and 20" bars, just realised they are .325 pitch - i thought 60cc+ was generally 3/8?

So, what are your opinions on this? Should i keep the .325 or swap to 3/8 before I use it for the first time?

HI ALEX will a 560xp drive a 20" any good on hard wood im running a ms461 on a 20" better on the engine as it lees work for it to drive thanks jon

Of course it does - and it is a pity that Husky doesn't make a 20" TechLite bar for the small bar mount (K095).

How come 3/8 is faster than .325? I would have assumed the opposite due to a slightly thinner kerf.

Mainly because it's a bigger chain length, and requires a bigger sprocket, the 3/8 7t is the same size as a .325 8t

Hi Jon, it'll be on 15" most of the time, i'll put the 20" on for the odd climbing job where my 395 is a bit overkill. I won't be doing hour after hour of logging with the 20. The 560 has bags of power.

HI ALEX your right there 15" ok 20" on now again is what do you think my ms461 will drive a 25" ok not all the time thanks jon

Actually, you need to compare 3/8x7 to .325x8 yourself to really know what works best for you.

The exact chain models you use will have an impact as well, as will the wood and even the operator - the answer is not carved in stone anywhere....

Also, 3/8x8 may be an option as well, with 15-16" bars - specially if a lot of limbing is involved.

The case itself is the same, as is the oiler. What is different is just the bar mount related parts and the air filter/cover.

The oil tank is also larger, not by much, but it is part of the crank :P speaking of 562's, is part number 505 15 69-01 available in your country?
