I ordered some hardwood

It came and looked ok, but as we were moving it after the guys left we noticed a lot (at least 1/3rd) of the wood is pine.

Pinus to be exact - now google says this is a 'hard' pinewood, but i'm a bit annoyed at having paid £80 for a builders bag of rubbish wood when it was advertised as hardwood. Am i being unreasonable here or can anyone offer some advice?

Thanks

You should probably take it up with them and remove their name from the above post or it will be removed, there is no naming and shaming on here.

Edit:

We supply decent logs.

Perhaps just forget them as a supplier in future. Or if you do continue with them, be very specific, in that you do not want or require any conifer included in your delivery.

TBH I would ask them to take it back and get a re-fund or go to trading standards. There's nothing wrong with burning softwood, but selling it as hardwood is breaching trading standards.

If a bag of hardwood is £80 what is a bag of softwood £65 ? third of a bag means you are £5 out of pocket. Not right I agree but dont give yourself the stress of trying to ring the world, talk to them direct. You may find its the best mix of logs you ever had.

Its a murkey world ... we sell good dry logs soft and hard . ... we are struggling to keep up with demand. .. happy days . Moral of this story ... find a decent supplier and keep them busy ... we are ....
