Recommend a saw.

Which small saw would people recommend for brashing, cutting small saplings and light coppicing etc. 14" bar?

Thanks, have a 550XP and after something lighter still. Just seen the thread on saws for fencing so will look at those recommendations.

sthil ms 170 use it for hedgelaying ideal for doing small stuff so for coppicing be ok if its a bit big have the husky

MS211 works well for me. My entire job is brashing and small felling and its never skipped a beat!

As recommended for fencing, i'd go for husqy 135. If not, i personally like makitas. Not to be laughed at. If you dont like the blue, then get one in orange (dolmar ).

Am leaning the 135 way. Never seen Makita for sale anywhere. Just googled-Screwfix amongst others

Apologies if this is stating the obvious, but if you have a longer bar on your 550 then try it with a 13" before shelling out for a new saw - you may find it much less tiring to use.
