I think my problem is more to do with circulation. I have cold feet practically all the time. I suffer very badly from chillblains as well, I'm only 22 so i need to get something to keep them warm as i don't want to suffer all my life!!!

I've heard the wool socks are good where abouts do you get them from may get a pair of merino wool socks??

I get bad circulation too, have Raynauds syndrome. If you smoke, stop. It will help no end...

Best tip I have is to wear 2 pairs, a nice thin pair of cotton socks and then good quality mohair or wool on top, that way you don't have to change the expensive warm ones every day meaning you need fewer pairs..

I avoid cotton next to skin in the winter. I use a thin inner sock with plenty of wool in it, but they are not easy to find. Wool is warmer when damp (from sweat). Bridgedales seem to to be quite hard wearing for a thicker sock. Hunter sockets that were cheap in TKMax were good as well. Gortex/sympatex linings in boots keep your feet warmer too.
