Don't see why you should go to .404 for longer bars as surly the bigger chain takes more pulling. Probably find its because husky don't make a bar to fit longer than 28" in 3/8 but another brand will.

Is the 390 fitted with twin felling dog'sand if not any1 know if you can get em as hope to get mine in Next week or so, funds allowing?

Twin dogs not standard, it's about £12 for the standard outer dog

Worth every penny at that price but as said in another thred shame we carnt get a rap Handel like the Americans

You can for the 390, but it's £120+, I managed to import mine from America at a lower price though, swear by wrap handles now, so as soon as I can, I'm ordering wraps for the 560!

No my dear Stuby, tis I!

He was bending my ear saying that if the 390 is so good that i should splash the cash on it, so I did. :blushing:

He is going for a 576 on a 25" when he has sold his existing saw.

I have a fair bit of big timber to cut over the next few months so its not just a snap decision. And I would like to get a mill for it, so it will get some real use.

Looking at the spec sheet that came with it a 28" is the max bar on 3/8 but if you go to .404 you can go to 36"!!!! anyone here tried this?

I run the 28" .375 on mine but run a 36" .404 on my 395 . Although an older design the 395 has a little bit more grunt ....
