Another Ebay Scam ?

Makes a change from the guy who lives in Cyprus/Malta and selling his dead brothers chipper....Despite what they say chippers aren't covered by eBays buyer protection as eBay say they are vehicles! There do seem to be a lot of chippers for sale in the Shetlands, one photo showed a Timberwolf next to an electrified railway....

"I do not live in Foveran, I live in Poland so I can't go there every time someone wants to see it, plus I can't go alone as I am a woman. I will get somebody to bring it to you (a neighbour of my late grandfather) if you decide to buy it but we have to close the deal through eBay. Delivery will take 3-4 days and you will have the chance to inspect it before I get paid. You send the money to eBay and then the chipper will be delivered. Everything is covered by eBay, they will keep your money secured during the inspection period. This purchase protection guarantees that the chipper is exactly as I described it; basically, once delivered, you'll have 5 days to inspect it and if you decide not to keep it you will get refunded in no time and they will charge me with the return costs. I will get paid only after you confirm that you received the chipper in good order.

Yer fell for it, 1500 quid down the pan....... North saying"it boils my piss". Best thing about it I sent my money by bank transfer to a Barclays Bank account and they would not have note to do with it..... Bank drafts are as good as cash.

Sounds fine, i dont mean to be rude but i would like get my friend to see the chipper first, will take 5 mins, is that ok? Afterwards i can email you to talk about the money.

"I have to come from Poland to Foveran as I am the one with the keys and I can't do that based on words. So the neighbour can't take COD without the keys to the yard. I explained how we can do it through ebay. ebay won't pay me until you receive and inspect the machine so I do not see the problem. If it isn't as described, ebay will send the money back to you. If you want to proceed, then send me your ebay username and delivery address. Then I will start the transaction and you will receive all relevant info from eBay. Once ebay confirms that the payment is with them, I will come to Foveran and give the keys to my neighbour and he will then deliver it to your address"
